How I work

A practical, human approach to comms.

If you’ve read the About page, you’ll know this isn’t a typical consultancy setup.

There’s no retainer pitch. No packages. No filler.

What I offer is clarity, conversation, and communication support that actually lands.

Sometimes that means writing. Sometimes coaching. Sometimes helping a team find the thread in what they’re trying to say.

But it always starts the same way: with a simple conversation to understand what’s going on – and where the real work might be.

Two young professionals, a woman and a man, are working together at a desk in a modern office space with large windows and indoor plants, smiling and engaging with a computer.

What I help with

  • Internal communication strategy
Making sense of how your organisation talks to itself. Building clarity, consistency and purpose into your messaging – across channels, formats, and teams.

  • Leadership messaging
Helping senior leaders sound like people. Ghostwriting, coaching, scripting or storytelling support for those who want to communicate with credibility, not cliché.

  • Tone of voice and narrative design
Defining what you stand for – and how that shows up in the everyday. Translating vision and values into words people can actually use.

  • Employee experience and engagement
From onboarding to exit, helping shape the comms moments that matter. Quietly improving the culture signal at every stage.

  • Change and transformation comms
Supporting teams through the messy middle. Finding clarity in complexity. Helping people feel part of what’s next.

What working together looks like

I don’t run an agency. I don’t hand you off to juniors. You get me – thinking, writing, questioning, reflecting, and helping you deliver something that sticks.

Projects vary. Sometimes it’s a few days. Sometimes it’s a longer arc of partnership.

Often, I’m brought in when something’s off – a change that needs landing, a strategy that’s not being understood, or a tone that doesn’t reflect the truth of the culture.

If you’re wondering

  • Yes. But only if they’re the right solution – not a default. I’ve run team sessions on tone of voice, writing for leaders, culture comms and message architecture.

  • Absolutely. I ghostwrite for leaders, build messaging frameworks, script global broadcasts, and simplify complex narratives. I can work at pace, and with polish.

  • Yes. If a project needs design, video, insight, translation or editorial muscle, I have brilliant people I trust – and I bring them in only when they add value.

  • Straightforward, collaborative, and calm.

I ask good questions, listen carefully, and help shape the work until it feels clear and right.

    Sometimes I challenge. Always kindly.

  • Mostly large or complex organisations — often navigating change, growth, or cultural friction.

I’ve worked with tech, rail, automotive, logistics, and non-profits.

What matters most isn’t the sector — it’s the mindset.
